A material block is gradually processed by a 24/7 rotating file over the course of the exhibition, thus revealing its innermost parts as time continues. Thus, an initial "on-the-surface scratching" over time will "get deeper into the matter".
„Dialog mit dem Material“ exposes its different materials and their properties, thus revealing slowly their innermost parts. The installation is to be understood as an appeal not only to designers but to the whole society, to take a closer look and to work more intensively with the materials of our environment.
Only those who look closer become Master of Materials.
A deeper immersion in materiality not only helps us to better understand our physical world, but also enhances appreciation and stimulates an innovative discussion of materials free of prejudice and confusion.
